Rehearsals are starting soon. Please have the schedule I sent and passed out handy and on the calendar. Let me know if there are any that will be missed.
Remember that there is a rehearsal during spring break week. And lines should be memorized in 3 weeks. In Shakespeare's time actors were given very little time to memorize, just days or weeks.
I think you are all doing great. Remember we can get more done if there was less talking from those not on stage.

CHARACTER ANALYSIS AND THIS WEEK
for anyone that was waiting on my email for the character analysis homework I'm sorry to disappoint. I had decided we would do it in class this week since we finished our read through of the play. Yah! So there wasn't any homework for this week, but I hope you were all working hard on your lines :)
See you tomorrow.Tuesday, February 17, 2015
Casting callbacks
Our first round of auditions is over and now we are on to the second. If you got an email asking to be ready for a callback that just means that we need to see more, to know who to cast you as. If you did not get a callback it is because we liked what we saw and have a places for you. Please come prepared to show us more.
I Thank all of you so far. It is a lot of hard work and it will pay off in the end.

Re: As You Like It needs extras
Julie,
I received 3 enthusiastic replies of YES! I wish Benjamin had some enthusiasm.
So Gabriel, Elsa and ViviAn will help wherever they can.
Thanks!

As You Like It needs extras
Are their any younger siblings of Shakespeare students that would love to be an extra in the play. Speaking parts might be one line. Also non speaking part dressed as an animal. Think about it. It is the most fun thing to be a part of.

audition CALL BACKS
I'm letting you all know that we will be having call backs for auditions this next Thursday before any final decisions are made on casting. Sometimes call backs are held because there were so many great auditions and the director just couldn't decide who to cast in which roles and it is a chance to show them more. Or some times it is because the director liked the actor and knows that they have some great qualities but the audition didn't go so well. Maybe the part you auditioned for wasn't the part that best showed your talents. So, If you feel your auditions could have gone better this is your opportunity to re-audition. I will send each of those that I need callbacks for an Individual email letting them know to be ready again on Thursday. Please come prepared.
*Note: there are over 21 parts to cast for in As You Like It. most actors will be cast as more than one character. Saturday, January 31, 2015
