This is a reminder that all past due papers are due when we return from break.
Thanks Shakespeareans!

Sometimes I feel like this.

I saw this and it sorta reminded me of class.  When we get back from break, let's have fun but let us learn to focus when others are talking.

Time to Catcheth Up and Celebrate!

Christmas break is upon us and it is now the time to catch up on any late assignments!  All papers are due on January 7th.  If you would rather turn them in via email during the break, that will be acceptable.  Montagues turn papers into Queen Leiloni and Capulets turn in papers to Queen Sage.  Every scholar must complete at least nine papers including the summary in order to complete the class and go on the class field trip.  If all of the necessary papers are turned in, please be working on vocabulary lists, plays and the set piece.  Also, make sure to be thinking of ideas for the parent night.
After our fun Christmas party today, we were able to discuss characters and costumes, finish our discussion of Romeo and Juliet and crown Queen Taylor Miller!!! Congratulations!!!

A corronation and then everyone dies.

In our class today we learned about mythology and the supernatural in Shakespeare.  Anyone who can bring an example of mythology or the supernatural in Romeo and Juliet (besides Cupid) will earn five bonus points for their "house".  Other things to work on at home this week includes any papers that have not been completed, vocabulary lists and the set piece.  Zachery did passed off his set piece, Sienna shared a wonderful presentation about work during the Elizabethan era and Archie was crowned as King of Shakespeare!  We were also able to discuss the play Romeo and Juliet.  Ask your scholar or discuss with your parents what it is that you discovered by reading Romeo and Juliet besides the fact that, "everyone dies."
